Darren Hawes for Franklin
I am a dedicated family man with 2 young children.
I have been employed in the electrical industry for over 30 years. I have been a small business owner for the past 18 years, running an Electrical Contracting and excavation business. I currently employ a 3rd year apprentice.
For the past 20 years I have been increasingly concerned at the priorities of the government of the day. I feel that the current level of immigration as a whole is unsustainable without nationwide increases in infrastructure – predominantly health and education, housing, and transport and roads. More specifically, I have grave concerns of the high percentages of immigrants that choose not to assimilate and integrate within our society.
I am further concerned that the expectations of the UN are not in the best interests of Australia. The level of foreign aid is untenable.
My aim in entering politics, is to ensure a future for my children that maintains the values I grew up with. Most importantly this includes traditional values, free speech, safety in public gatherings and reward for effort. I want to give people a choice that differs from the status quo, where the large party representatives do not actually represent the will of the people.
I choose to support Fraser Annings’ values and goals in achieving a moderation of the current lack of direction of the Country.
